Main Content

I discuss how Tony Khan acts more like the backers of professional wrestling prior to the 1910s.

Managers used to find backers, who were wealthy sport fans and wanted to see two wrestlers wrestle, to put up the money to promote the events.

The events often lost the backers money although the managers and wrestlers made money.

When promoters started promotions in major cities or large geographical areas, backers faded into history with few exceptions.

Review

I review the second night of Wrestlemania XL. Despite a couple of bad matches, I judged it to be the best Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania III.
