Episode 94 – Rubbing His Face In It

In this episode, I discuss Yusuf Ismail versus Tom Jenkins. I also discuss the first St. Louis card I attended with my sister Vicky.

First Card I Attended with My Sister Vicky

On Friday, June 12, 1981, my oldest sister Vicky took me to the first St. Louis wrestling card that we attended. The card was headlined by NWA World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Harley Race defending his title against Missouri Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Ted DiBiase.

Review

Maurice Vachon vs. Larry Moquin from Montreal in the early 1950s

Main Content

In May 1898, Yusuf Ismail continued his dominant tour of the United States by wrestling Tom Jenkins in Jenkins’ hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

Ismail continued his dominating ways but his tactics caused a dangerous situation for both Ismail and the referee.

Update

Divided Championship is available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, ebook, and audiobook.

Seth Rollins looked like he sustained a significant injury on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Adam Cole suffered another concussion, which is career threatening. The post-concussion syndrome likely led to Cole’s noticeable loss of weight and muscle.

Wishing both men a quick recovery and more importantly that neither injury will negatively affect either Rollins’ or Cole’s quality of life.

“Hangman” Adam Page defeated John Moxley for the AEW World Title in a garbage match. Neither wrestler needs to resort to the garbage wrestling. There is an audience for these matches but it is limited. Will these matches turn off sponsors?
