George Baptiste spent about twenty years serving as St. Louis’ resident all-around athlete before taking over the company, Baptiste Tent and Awning, founded by his father Alexander Baptiste. Besides plying his trade as an occasional but accomplished professional wrestler, Baptise was a powerful swimmer. Sur Août 11, 1900, Baptiste used his swimming skills to save another St. Louisan from drowning.

Il a annoncé après son élection à la présidence de son propre chef après avoir remonté au bureau sur l'assassinat de William McKinley qu'il ne briguerait pas un nouveau mandat en 1908. Roosevelt avait servi presque un mandat complet avant son élection comme McKinley fut assassiné en Septembre 1901.

Sur Mars 4, 1922, F.W. Murnau Nosferatu libéré (1922). Nosferatu (affilaite link) was Murnau’s adaptation of the Dracula novel by Bram Stoker. Murnau négligé d'acheter les droits pour filmer l'histoire de la succession de Stoker, qui a presque mené à ce film étant perdu pour filmer téléspectateurs. Stoker’s widow successfully sued Murnau and the German film company that produced the motion picture.

Le film (affiliate link) is set in Britain during World War I. Released almost two years before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the film showed that Hollywood and probably most of the countries sympathies were with Britain and the Allies.

Heenan Loses to King in Last Bout
