John Camel Heenan was known to 19th Century bare knuckle prizefighting fans as “Benicia Boy”. Despite an 0-1-1 record as a professional fighter, Heenan claimed the World Prizefighting Championship based on a draw with Tom Sayer in an 1860 English prize-fight. For my birthday this year, I purchased one of my favorite books, Way to Live in terveyttä ja voimaa (affiliate link) by Georg Hackenschmidt. Georg Hackenschmidt set many weightlifitng world records before focusing on professional wrestling. Hackenschmidt would win the World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship in 1901. Hackenschmidt would reign as undefeated World Champion for 7 vuotta omansa menettämiseen
