Reginald Owen stars as Sherlock Holmes in one of the early American talking motion picture adaptations of Sherlock Holmes. სწავლა Scarlet (1933) (შვილობილი ლინკები) sees Holmes trying to solve murders among a group of confederates. Arthur Wontner starred in several successful English adaptations of the series, which probably inspired Hollywood to follow suit.

Owen studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Acting in England before immigrating to the United States in 1920. A stage career on Broadway was followed by a long career in film and television. Owen is one of the few actors who played both Sherlock Holmes and John Watson on film.
