chubb-trail-lone-elk-trailhead

Την Δευτέρα, Νοέμβριος 13, 2023, I achieved a major goal when I hiked the entire length of Chubb Trail, an out-and-back 13-mile trail in West St. Louis County. The hike took me seven hours and thirty minutes to complete. When my oldest son “Trey” was completing the requirements for the Gold Medal of Achievement in Royal Rangers, equivalent to

His parents, Samuel and Sarah Zimmerman, lived in Dongola, Bollinger, Μιζούρι. Τον Μάρτιο του 31, 1902, 27-year-old Parker married his second wife, 22-year-old Mellie Bollinger.

St. Louis Holidays With The Mosblechs

200-block-of-schirmer

Αν και δεν έχουν ακόμη κατορθώσει να ελέγξει το μέγεθος των άλλων δύο οικογένειες, both Mom and I remember it the same way. Grandma Ellis had

great-grandpa-ellis

Frederick William Johannpeter (1839 – 1915) was my second great grandfather on my mother’s side. He died 4 months before the birth of his grandson, Gilbert P. Ellis, ο οποίος ήταν ο παππούς μου. Since he died before my grandfather was born, I had very limited information on him, when I started researching the family history. Grandpa didn’t have any verbal history

1909 – Μια κακή χρονιά για Parker Zimmerman

mellie-bollinger-zimmerman

Πριν από το θάνατό της Parker στο Cape Giraurdeau Tornado της 1949, he would bury two more of his children. Both of them were adults. I can only imagine how hard 1909

Ο 14 Mosblechs

eduard-magdalena-and-family

Πρόσφατα, I was searching for information about my Great Uncle Francis’ marriage to my Great Aunt Rosemary Kalt. What I discovered was an unexpected genealogy treasure, a picture in the July 5 Έκδοση του Αγίου. Louis Star-Times of my great grandparents and 12 of the 14 Mosblech children. I had never seen a picture of my great grandparents, Eduard

Ollie J. Zimmerman (1906 – 1977)

grandma-and-me

Ollie J. Zimmerman was the third son born to my great-grandfather Parker L. Zimmerman and his second wife Mollie Bollinger. Ollie and his twin sister Dollie were born on either April 27, 1906 or April 27, 1907. Since Ollie’s headstone says “1906”, I’m going with April 27, 1906 as his birthdate. Σε 1909, Ollie would lose his mother, when Mellie
