I completed Origins of a Legend: The Making of Ed “Strangler” Lewis. It is available on Amazon in e-book, paperback, hardcover, and for the first time, audiobook.

During the project, I was able to discover the real story of why Robert Friedrich changed his name to Ed “Strangler” Lewis.

How Lewis met Billy Sandow for the first time?

A rare instance where Lewis hooked his opponent when they quit working and started shooting with each other.

I also learned that Lewis wrestled Stanislaus Zbyszko in one of Zbyszko’s last matches in the spring of 1914. I thought Lewis and Zbyszko met for the first time in 1921.
