Épisode 55 – Browning serre Miyake

Dans cet épisode, Je parle du 1924 match entre Jim Browning et Taro Miyake.

Update

Our Memorial Day episode will be the full crew. Cet épisode et cet épisode seront liés à un cours d'arts martiaux mixtes (MMA) crossover and how gambling schemes affected pro wrestling and why it is a worry for modern MMA.

I answer a listener question about the recent release of Gable Stevenson.

Main Content

Dans 1924, Jim Browning was an up-and-coming 21-year-old wrestler wrestling the 43-year-old former challenge match participant Taro Miyake.

Promoters played up Miyake’s participation in previous challenge matches by booking the match as a mixed styles match.

During the second fall, a rough exchange infuriated Browning, who quit cooperating in the worked match.

Browning and Miyake got back on track until the finish of the second fall.

Was this match a work or a shoot?

Revoir

I look at the UFC Fight Night from St. Louis and a fight, which caused concern among sports bettors.
