I discuss the first of three matches in 1926 between World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Joe Stecher and John “די נעבראסקא טיגערמאן” זאַמד. Stecher and Pesek wrestled in St. לוי, Missouri on Thursday, אַפּריל 29, 1926, for five hours before the referee raised Stecher’s hand.
