Sherlock Holmes i Washington (1943) er den tredje av tolv Universal Picture produksjoner av Sherlock Holmes serien. Basil Rathbone og Nigel Bruce spilte rollen som Holmes og Watson henholdsvis i to filmer for Twentieth-Century Fox og tolv mer for Universal Pictures.

Denne filmen er igjen satt i 1940. Holmes and Watson have traveled to Washington, D.C. to keep secret documents from falling into the hands of the Axis Powers. George Zucco returns as the oily Nazi villain Heinrich Hinkel. Marjorie Lord plays Nancy Partridge, Henry Daniell is William Easter and Thurston Hall plays Senator Henry Babcock.

Ifølge Internet Movie Database (IMDB), Hall was born on May 10, 1882 in Boston, Massachusetts. Hall usually played a loud boss, authority or villain in films. He was Topper’s boss in the television series from the 1950s. I denne filmen, he played a loud Senator from the American South.
