Academy

On September 19, 2011, my oldest son Kenneth Zimmerman III and I founded the Zimmerman Academy, a martial arts school dedicated to instructing students in self-defense.  Originally based around a more traditional taekwondo curriculum, the academy curriculum has involved into a more holistic self-defense system embracing striking, grappling and weapons.

Kenneth is transitioning into the role of Head Instructor as I transition into a mentoring role for Kenneth, my youngest son Caleb and the advanced belts they are training.  Caleb oversees the kids’ program.  We teach a group class on Monday night and will teach private students in the St. Louis area.
