In this episode, I discuss the federal government prosecuting a gambling ring in 1910. The case exposed how wrestlers worked matches to bilk fans betting on the matches.

In March 1910, the federal government tried John C. Mabry and his accomplices for using the U.S. mail to bilk gamblers. The court case exposed wrestlers working matches to rip off acquaintances the wrestlers convinced to be the matches.
