A film company recently restored a 1908 wrestling film between George Hackenschmidt and Joe Rogers, Taldea 1 eta Taldea 2. The film documents a match from London in January 1908. The film illustrates the setting for most professional wrestling matches before the widespread use of wrestling rings in the 1920s.

I also discussed Hackenschmidt’s book, How to Live in Health and Strength (kidea lotura). Hackenschmidt tells his life story in the last half of the book.
