A film company recently restored a 1908 film de lupte între George Hackenschmidt și Joe Rogers, Parte 1 și Parte 2. The film documents a match from London in January 1908. The film illustrates the setting for most professional wrestling matches before the widespread use of wrestling rings in the 1920s.

I also discussed Hackenschmidt’s book, How to Live in Health and Strength (affiliate link). Hackenschmidt tells his life story in the last half of the book.
