I discuss the first of three matches in 1926 between World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Joe Stecher and John “L'Uomo Tigre del Nebraska” Sabbia. Stecher and Pesek wrestled in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, Aprile 29, 1926, for five hours before the referee raised Stecher’s hand.
