I discuss the first of three matches in 1926 between World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion Joe Stecher and John “Tigerman iz Nebraske” Pesek. Stecher and Pesek wrestled in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, April 29, 1926, for five hours before the referee raised Stecher’s hand.
