بول بونز, صانع نجوم المصارعة

وكان بول بونز بطل المصارعة اليونانية الرومانية في فرنسا في 1890s. حصل على البطولة في Folies-Bergeres قبل الفوز في البطولة في روسيا في 1898. سمحت له هذه الانتصارات بالمطالبة ببطولة المصارعة العالمية اليونانية الرومانية. بونس استفاد من هذه الشهرة من خلال فتح صالة رياضية لتدريب المصارعين والرجل القوي.

Pons’ victory was particularly remarkable because of his age. ولد بول بونس في 1864 مما يجعل منه 34 years old at the time of his victory. While he was not ancient by grappling standards, he was getting up there.
